NORFOLK—Philip S. Sansone, 61, husband of Mrs. Thelma Gray Sansone and son of 
Cosimo and Mrs. Rosa LaRusso Sansone, died at 6:40 a.m. Monday in his home at 215 
West Bayview Blvd.

Mr. Sansone, owner and operator of a jewelry and church goods store in Selden 
Arcade, was a native and life-long resident of Norfolk. He was a member of Norfolk 
Council 367, Knights of Columbus and was financial secretary for 30 years; he also 
was a member of Norfolk Elks Lodge 38, and of Roma Lodge, Sons of Italy.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Whitten 
of El Cajon, Calif.; five brothers, Joseph A. Sansone, Augustus A. Sansone, 
Anthony V. Sansone, Teddy P. Sansone, and Lawrence B. Sansone, three sisters, Mrs. 
Anna Spinella, Mrs. William F. Hampshire, and Mrs. Marie Kelley, all of Norfolk, 
and six grandchildren.

The Rosary will be recited in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 7:30 p.m. A 
funeral service will be held in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Wednesday at 10 a.m. 
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
