NORFOLK — Augustus Anthony Sansone, 64, of 106 Afton Ave., the husband of Mrs. 
Rose Lettieri Sansone, died Monday in a hospital.

A native of Niagara Falls, N.Y., he lived here most of his life. He was a son of 
Casimo and Mrs. Rosa LaRosa Sansone.

He managed Store 207 for the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board on Hampton 
Boulevard. He had been with the board 35 years.

He was a past grand knight of Norfolk Knights of Columbus Council 367. He was a 
member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the Nocturnal Adoration Society.

Besides his widow, surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Isadore Spinella, Mrs. 
William F. Hampshire and Mrs. Marie S. Kelly, and three brothers, Anthony V. 
Sansone, Teddy P. Sansone and Lawrence B. Sansone, all of Norfolk; and nieces and 
nephews.

The Rosary will be said tonight at 7:30 in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church, Newport Avenue and Painter Street. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
