NORFOLK — Thelma G. Sansone, 83, of the 200 block of W. Bayview Blvd., a retired 
nurse, died Feb. 6, 1990, in a hospital.

Mrs. Sansone was the widow of Philip S. Sansone. She had been employed by St. 
Vincent’s Hospital and Leigh Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church, the Registered Nurses Association and the Sixty Plus Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Whitten of Simi Valley, Calif.; two 
brothers, William W. Gray of Petersburg and Philip E. Gray of Washington, D.C.; 
six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a m. Monday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church by 
Monsignor Santiago Frias. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends 
may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Tidewater Drive Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer 
Society or the American Heart Association.
