Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark May 11, 1918

Mrs. Rosa A. Santos, wife of Frank Santos, died yesterday morning at 10:30 
o'clock at the residence, 914 Wood Street, after a brief illness at the age of 
62 years. She was well known in the  community. She is survived by her husband, 
three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Burrell and Misses Mary and Ellen Bell Santos; 
three sons, E.J., J.F. and A.L. Santos and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Frietas, 
Mrs. T. Logamasino and Mrs. F. Fernandez, all of Norfolk, and a number of 
grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the residence Sunday afternoon at 3 
o'clock. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. (interred in St. Mary's)

The funeral of Mrs. Rosa A. Santos took place yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock 
from the residence, 914 Wood street and was very largely attended by her friends 
and relatives. The services were conducted by Rev. P. P. Brennan of St. Mary’s 
Catholic church, and while they were in progress, Mrs. James Hughes sang "Abide 
With Me" and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul." The floral offerings were numerous and 
beautiful, attesting the esteem and love in which Mrs. Santos was held. The 
interment was in St. Mary’s cemetery, the follow­ing acting as pallbearers: S. 
LoCascio, Joseph Caprio, B. Lapetina, J. Mon­tagna, John Marchioni, N. Granata, 
P. Marina and John Hennelly.
