Indian River Road, died April 29, 2003, at a local hospital. Born in Norfolk, she was a retired aircraft mechanic for Norfolk Naval Air Station. She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, Order of Eastern Stars and United Order of Tents. She is survived by a son, Kenneth Howe of Norfolk; two sisters, Elsie Robinson of Alabama and Lottie Baker of Norfolk; and two grandchildren, Kenora L. and Ebone V. Howe. She was predeceased by her parents, Ruth Parham Simmons and Willie Simmons; and brothers, Willie, James, Charles, Raymond and Benjamin Simmons. A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church by the Rev. H. Carlyle Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be taken to the church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
