Norfolk Virginian December 12, 1875

December 11th 1875, JAS. A SAUNDERS, in the 59th year of his age. 
His funeral will take place TODAY, December 12th 1875 at 3 o'clock from 
residence, 112 Bank Street. Friends and acquaintances invited to attend.

Funeral of James A. Saunders, Esq. The funeral of this well known gentleman took 
place Sunday afternoon from his late residence on Bank Street and his remains 
were followed to their last resting place in Cedar Grove Cemetery.  The Norfolk 
Light Artillery Blues, in a body, attended the funeral, Mr. Saunders having been 
for years previous to the war an active and since an honorary member of the 
company. He was much esteemed and respected.
