Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - February 1, 1993
Fannie Brill Saunders, 81, of the 6800 block of Pallister Road, died Jan. 31, 
1993, in a Norfolk hospital. 
Mrs. Saunders was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. She was the widow 
of Jacob E. Saunders and was a member of Ohef Sholom Temple and its Sisterhood 
in Norfolk. She was also a member of Beth Sholom Home Auxiliary and the 
Hadassah. 
Survivors include a daughter, Gail Ingrid Berger of Virginia Beach; a son, 
Stuart Wax, M.D. of Rochester, N.Y.; a sister, Sylvia Sacks of Baltimore, Md.; a 
brother, Percy Brill of Norfolk; and four granddaughters, Danielle and Allison 
Berger and Leslie and Charlie Wax. 
A graveside service will be conducted at noon today in Forest Lawn Cemetery by 
Rabbi Lawrence A. Forman. The family will receive friends at 1285 Southfield 
Place, Virginia Beach. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling 
arrangements. 
Memorial contributions may be made to The Beth Sholom Home.
