She was a native of Norfolk County, but had lived in Berkley thirty-one years. She was a daughter of Mrs. Mary E. Smith and the late Samuel J. Smith. Besides her mother and son, she is survived by these brothers and sisters: O.L. Smith, F.M. Smith, V.L. Smith and W.A. Smith, of Berkley; S.J. Smith, of Portsmouth; Mrs. G.T. Jennings, of Norfolk County and Mrs. E.E. Patterson, of Berkley. The funeral will be conducted at the residence at 4 p.m. today, by Rev. S.J. Battin, pastor of Memorial Methodist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
