Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, May 22, 1994 
Elton Lee Saunders, 67, a retired sergeant, died May 20, 1994, in his residence.



Mr. Saunders was born in Norfolk. He retired from the Norfolk Sheriff's 
Department and from Railway Express. He was an Army veteran of World War II and 
the Korean War.



Survivors include two sons, Ernest Lee Saunders of Chesapeake and James M. 
Saunders of Virginia Beach; and his mother, Mary Louise Luton Saunders of 
Norfolk.



A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Elmwood Cemetery. The 
family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 
to 9 p.m. Monday.
