Virginian Pilot November 23, 1953


Frederick M. Saunders, 76, son of Harry A. and Mrs. Minnie Sherrick Saunders, a 
lifelong resident of this section, died at the resident, 12th Street and East 
Ocean View Avenue yesterday at 8:10 p.m.
He was a member of Ohef SholomTemple and was a member of Atlantic Lodge No. 2, 
A.F. & A.M., for 50 years. Surviving him are one brother, Arthur Saunders; one 
sister, Mrs. Julia Saunders Taylor, both of Norfolk, and three nephews, Harry 
S. and Milton F. Taylor both of Norfolk, and Morton J. Saunders, of New York. 
The body was taken to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments pending arrangements.
