Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 19, 1918

Mrs. Ella Winborne Savage, widow of LeRoy J. Savage, and daughter of the late 
Major S.D. Winborne, died yesterday morning at her residence, 1714 Claiborne 
Avenue. She was a native of Hertford County, N.C. She was 59 years of age and is 
survived by four daughters, Miss Mary Lee Savage, Mrs. W.P. McBain, Miss Karlie 
Savage, Miss Margaret E. Savage, all of Norfolk; and one son, S. Winborne 
Savage, of Norfolk and one sister, Mrs. T.I. Burbage, of Como, N.C.; two 
brothers, S.P. Winborne, of Como, N.C. and Judge B.B. Winborne, of Murfreesboro, 
N.C.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence, 
1714 Claiborne Avenue. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
