The funeral of William F. Savage, 53, of 403 Craig Street, who died suddenly on 
board the Wood Towing Company tugboat where he was employed, January 6, was held 
at Hale’s Chapel January 11 with the Rev. D. Y. Campbell officiating. He was a 
native of Rocky Mount, NC. His widow, Mrs. Mary Savage, and other relatives 
survive. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
