Norfolk - A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Bertha Hunter Savage of 914 
Lexington street at New Calvary Baptist Church Saturday at 1 p.m.

Elder Samuel Wilson will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Calvary 
Cemetery under direction of Graves Funeral Home.

Mrs. Savage, a member of New Calvary, was active in the church’s organizations. 
She was a native of Waterbury, CT, and was a Norfolk resident for more than 40 
years. She died April 15 at her home.

The deceased is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Flora Powell, Mrs. Deborah 
Hudson and Mrs. Grace Green; and a brother, George Bernard Hunter, all of 
Norfolk.
