Norfolk Journal and Guide, Jul 11,1964
Norfolk - Lee Sawyer, 85, of 1210 Berkley avenue received final rites July 4 in 
Morning Glory Funeral Home Chapel.  The Rev. Cleveland Copeland officiated.  
Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

A native of Pasquotank County, NC, he was a son of the late Charles Sawyer and 
Mrs. Florence Sawyer and widower of Mrs. Betty Sawyer.  He died July 1 in a 
hospital after a long illness.

He retired after being porter for 12 years for an Alcoholic Beverage Control 
store.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Phenia Graves of Hampton.
