Nathaniel T. Sawyer, aged 71, died at his residence, 3009 Grandy avenue, 
yesterday morning at 10:30 o’clock. Mr. Sawyer was a native of Princess Anne 
County and a member of Industry Council 1, O.F.A. and Vandalia Lodge No. 47, I. 
O. F. F.

Funeral services will be held at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 
o’clock and interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Besides his wife, Mr. Sawyer is survived by two sons, W.L. Sawyer of Kelfern, 
N.C. and F.J. Sawyer of Norfolk; four daughters, Mrs. E.W. Garther, of Raleigh, 
N.C., Mrs. J.C. Fokes, of Princess Anne County, and Mrs. A.N. Krippendorf, of 
Norfolk; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
