FATHER SCAHILL Yesterday morning at 9 o'clock, the funeral services of the late Rev. Father M. P. Scahill, of North Carolina, who died at St. Vincent's Hospital Wednesday, took place and were largely attended. The services were held in St. Vincent's Chapel. The Rev. Father John Doherty, of St. Mary's Church, was celebrant of the high solemn requiem mass, with the Rev. T. J. Wilson, of the Sacred Heart Chapel, as deacon, the Rev. Charles F. Donohue, of Newport News, as sub-deacon, and the Rev. Joseph Frioli, of St. Mary's, as master of ceremonies. The sermon was delivered by the Rev. Father Quinn, of North Carolina, at the conclusion of which the remains were laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery. The following gentlemen were the pallbearers: Messrs. J. J. Samuels, James O'Rourke, D. F. Donovan, Cosimas F. Smith, William Donovan, John B. Loughran and John E. Burke. Among those present at the obsequies were the Rev. Father Winder and the Rev. Father Manning, of Baltimore.
