Virginian-Pilot  December 20, 1942
MRS. ISABELLA GUERRA SCELZI, widow of John Scelzi, and daughter of the late Paul 
and Mrs. Agnes
 Guerra, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 3
o'clock.
She was a native of Italy and a resident of Norfolk for the past 50 years, 
residing at 1812 Core avenue at the time of her death.

Mrs. Scelzi was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Norfolk Lodge, 
Corzio. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Alexander Meloni and Mrs. John 
Briola; four sons, Joseph, Rocco, Eddie and Harry Scelzi, all of Norfolk; one 
sister, Mrs. Lucy Werro, of Englewood, N. J., and several nieces and nephews.

The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial 
avenue, to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow morning at 
11 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at 
the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 8 o’clock.
