MICHAEL J. SCHAEFFER - Funeral services for Mr. Schaeffer were held yes­terday 
afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at H. D. Oliver's funeral apartments, Freemason street. 
The Rev. E. V. Mullarkey, of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, officiated. There 
were many in attendance and a pro­fusion of floral offerings. Burial was in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. The pall­ bearers were Dr. E. J. Lawler, R. L. Albano, William J. 
Cannon, William H. Delaney, E. J. Ryan and J. P. Cal­lahan. Mr. Schaeffer is 
survived by two sisters, Mrs. Vernon Jett, of Bal­timore, Md., and Miss Ellen C. 
John­son, of Oteen, N.C.; his aunt, Mrs. Lula V. White, and cousin, Mrs. Theodore 
Maurer, of Norfolk, with whom he made his home.
