Horton of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. V. D. Scanlon of Norfolk and Mrs. Hattie Smeltzer of San Francisco, Calif.; two brothers, Charles Schaffer of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Frank P. Schaffer of Cleveland, Ohio, and a grandson, Craig S. Horton of Norfolk. A native of Akron, Ohio, he had lived in Norfolk six years, residing at 309 Westover Ave. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Norfolk Elks Lodge No. 38. He was a veteran of World War II and was in the employ of the city of Norfolk. The body will be brought to Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home.
