Dorothy Sharon Schank, 62, of the 1500 block of Maury Crescent, died Wednesday, 
March 3, 1999, in Portsmouth Naval Hospital

She had been a dedicated employee of the Norfolk Navy Exchange for more than 38 
years. She was born in Bay City, Mich., the daughter of the late Louis E. Sharon 
and Agnes Bates Sharon. Mrs. Schank was a member of Christ the King Catholic 
Church.

Survivors include her husband, Carl H. Schank; two daughters, Dawn L. Bullington 
and her husband, Andy, of Norfolk, Susan S. Rigg and her husband, Edward, of 
Covington, Va.; a son, Harold T. Schank of Norfolk; three sisters, Patricia S. 
Sierras of Chesapeake, Barbara L. Babiez of Bay City, Mich., and Sister Sandra 
Sharon of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three brothers, Donald J. Sharon and Victor J. Sharon, 
both of Bay City and Russell E. Sharon of Essexville, Mich.; and six 
grandchildren, Paul, Jessica, Jennifer, Thomas, Rebekah and Jonathan.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Catholic Church 
by Fr. Brian Rafferty. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum. 
The family will be at Cox Funeral Home Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. for visitation. 
Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church Building Fund or the 
charity of the donor's choice.
