PASCAL SCHISANO Day before yesterday the remains of this excellent lady were carried to St. Mary's Church, and after some very appropriate remarks by the Rev. Father Cutler, they were deposited in their last resting place in the Roman Catholic cemetery. The deceased had attained to an age reached by few, and the last fifteen years of her life were years of suffering from acute disease. Her strong Christian faith supported her under all her affliction, till death came to her relief, and she was borne to the home of the righteous. Mrs. Schisano was well known in this community, and honored and beloved by all that knew her. She was the widow of Pascal Schisano, for so many years the French Consul at Norfolk—a gentleman whose memory will always be revered by all that knew him. He left a large family of children, but one of whom survives—the devoted daughter, who for fifteen long years so tenderly nursed her widowed mother. Our whole community deeply sympathizes with her in her grief. The following gentlemen acted as pall bearers: Col. L. D. Starke, Andrew S. Martin, Geo. L. Arps, Robt. W. Lamb, Geo. T. Gwathmey, Charles Sharp, Geo. Chamberlaine, Wm. R. Galt.
