Charles William Schultz, Jr., aged 17, of 1201 Hawthorne avenue, South Norfolk, drowned at Chesapeake Beach about 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon. H.R. Morrison, Jr., who with Irvin Floyd, both of South Norfolk, recovered the body, said that bathers had mistaken young Schultz' distress, apparently caused by cramps, for frolicking in the water. Funeral services for young Schultz will be held tomorrow at 4 o'clock at the Graham Funeral Home in South Norfolk with the Rev. O.D. Poythress, pastor of the South Norfolk Christian Church, officiating. Surviving are his father, Charles William Schultz; his mother, Mrs. Sarah Ada Myers Schultz, and two sisters, Doris Schultz and Mrs. J.F. Bunch, all of South Norfolk.
