Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, July 20, 2014

Norfolk - Edward Charles "Chap" Schumann II, 60, passed away July 14, 2014. 
He was predeceased by his mother, Marjorie McAlpine Schumann and brother, 
Ross Edward Schumann, Jr. Chap was a 1971 graduate of Maury High School. He 
attended Old Dominion University and worked for the AAA of Tidewater over 30 
years. In 1995 he married his best friend, Carol Pahl Schumann. Besides 
Carol, he is survived by his siblings, Mark Herbert Schumann, Terri Schumann 
Warren (John), Ellie McAlpine Svec, Laurie Anne Forrest (Cliff), and many 
nieces and nephews. To know Chap was to know of his kindness, compassion and 
generosity. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorial 
donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
