Jean was born in Brooklyn, NY to Vito and Marguerite Blandeburgo. Jean was very involved with the St. Pius Senior Citizens and was a Eucharist minister for the church. Jean's passion was sewing. She was an expert tailor and worked in factories making uniforms during WWII and created beautiful garments for the church and vestments for the priests. Jean continued sewing for the rest of her life making wedding gowns and clothes for her family and friends. Being from Gemona, Italy, she loved to travel. She traveled the world with her husband Joe of 43 years, her children and grandchildren, instilling in them the same love she had to see the world. Jean also loved to cook and her thirst for knowledge was endless. She is survived by her loving sister, 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. There will be a gathering on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel on Independence Blvd. from 7 to 9 p.m. and a Mass at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church on Saturday November 23, at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
