Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 17, 1950

Gaetano Scotece, 72, husband of Mrs. Carmela Scotece, died yesterday at 12:50 
a.m. at a Norfolk hospital. He was a native of Italy and had been a resident of 
Norfolk 35 years, residing at 401 West 28th Street at the time of his death.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. G.J. Tyburczy, Mrs. 
E.A. O'Haver and Miss Theresa Scotece; five sons, Mario Anthony Scotece, Frank 
Scotece, Joseph Scotece, John Angelo Scotece and Michael Vincent Scotece, all of 
Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church for services Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments tomorrow night 
at 8 o'clock.

GAETANO SCOTECE — Funeral serv­ices for Mr. Scotece, who died Wednesday, were 
conducted at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, yesterday at 10 a. m. by the Rev. 
Richard Rivard. The Rev. Francis J. Blake­ly was present in the sanctuary. Burial 
was in St. Mary’s Ceme­tery. Pallbearers were 0. J. Leonbruno, Frank Iantosca, 
Robert Turner, Carl Cholewa, C. L. Phelps and William Glass.
