She was preceded in death by her son Michael Vincent Scotece, Jr. and grandson, Nicholas Scotece Armstrong. Sharon is survived by her husband, Michael Vincent Scotece, Sr.; daughters Carol Minton and Linda Minner and their spouses, Bruce Minton and Scott Minner; and grandchildren, Daniel Armstrong, and wife Julia; Leah Minton; Michael Minton; and Sam Minner; great-grandchildren Cameron, Maxden, Lily and Lucy; and brothers Rick Fah and Ron Boucher. Sharon was born in Havre, Montana to parents David and Helen Boucher; she grew up in Great Falls, Montana. Her legacy is a life of loving and caring for others. Having graduated from Norfolk General Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse, she worked with Leigh Memorial Hospital and The American Red Cross. She sang with Sweet Adelines. Sharon loved her family deeply and leaves a legacy of faith, song, joy, and hope. Her kind spirit, love for life, loyalty to family, generosity, and sense of humor remain in the hearts of those who knew her. A private service for the immediate family was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chesapeake. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sharon Lee Scotece are welcome at The American Cancer Society.
