Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday June 25, 1949
William James Scott, aged 79, of 406 South Main Street, Berkley, died Thursday 
at 2:55 p.m. in Portsmouth Naval Hospital after an illness of one year. He was a 
retired Navy chief electrician and a veteran of World War I.
The body was taken to the Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk. Funeral services 
will be conducted at the grave in Magnolia Cemetery today at 4 p.m.
