Mrs. Emma Beatrice Scott, of 792 Bank street, died Feb. 23 at her residence. 
A native of Ahoskie NC, she was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church where 
funeral services were held Feb. 28 with the Rev. J. R. Gray officiating. 
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, William Scott; one osn, Jesse; one adopted 
daughter, Mrs. Teresa Peed; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Edler, Mrs. Carrie 
Goodman and Mrs. Corrine Slade; two brothers, Leander McGlone and Charles 
McGlone; and one foster brother, Joseph Perry, all of Norfolk.

Hale Funeral Home handled funeral arrangements.
