Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 27,1961
A funeral service was held at New Mt. Olive AME Church in South Norfolk on 
Wednesday for Mrs. Cora Cuffee Scott, 57, of 913 Hill street, South Norfolk, who 
died Sunday in a Norfolk hospital.

The Rev. H. H. Lee, pastor of the church, officiated.  Burial was in Mt. Olive 
Cemetery under direction of Fitchett’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Scott was a native of Norfolk County.  She was a South Norfolk resident for 
28 years.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Martha Cuffee;  her husband, William Scott;  
a son, James L. Scott of Fentress;  a stepson, Morris E. Scott of South Norfolk;  
a stepdaughter, Mrs. Laura West of Norfolk;  two sisters, Mrs. Mary S. Francis 
and Mrs. Annie Cheetum of Norfolk;  and a brother, William Bartee, of Norfolk.
