Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 9,1964
Norfolk - Funeral services were held Saturday for Frederick Richard Scott of 
1339 Anne street at First Baptist Church, Bute street of which he was a member.  
The Rev. E. Paul Simms, pastor, officiated.  Interment was in Calvary Cemetery 
with Hale Funeral Home in charge.

A native of Norfolk, he was the son of Jacob Scott and Lucy Scott, both 
deceased.  He was the husband of Mrs. Arsie Mae Scott.

Mr. Scott was retired from the cleaning and pressing business in which he was 
self employed.  He held membership in Eureka Lodge of Norfolk.

He is survived by a stepson, Henry Loatman of Philadelphia, four grandchildren, 
and nine great-grandchildren.
