Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, October 26, 1993 
Ethel Scott, of the 800 block of Goff St., died Oct. 22, 1993, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Scott was born in Isle of Wight, Va. She had retired from the Housekeeping
Department at Norfolk General Hospital after 16 years. She was the widow of
Henry Scott and was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church. She was a member of
the Usher Board 1 and was president of the True Vine Club and was a member of
the Missionary Board. She was a member of United Order of Tents 1 and Eastern
Star Wheaton Chapter 73 and Eureka Temple 12 Daughter of I.B.P.O.E. of W.

Survivors include a daughter, Thelma Jones of Virginia Beach; a son, Raymond
Birdsong of Camden, N.J.; a brother, Joseph Todd of Newport News; seven
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Queen Street Baptist Church
by the Rev. Peter Wherry. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Graves Funeral
Home is handling arrangements. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m.
Friends may join the family at the residence.
