Virginian-Pilot  October 27, 1897
Edenton, N. C., Oct. 27.—(Special.)— Mr. Scott, who recently moved here from the 
North, was found dead in his room at his home on West Queen street yesterday 
morning. He retired Monday night in good health apparently. Heart disease was the 
cause of his death. His remains will be taken to Norfolk for interment tomorrow 
morning.
