Mr. Vinton Scott, formerly of Norfolk, but for the past several years has made 
his home in New York City, died there on Friday, March 16 after a brief illness. 
His remains accompanied by members of the family were brought to Norfolk, and 
the funeral was held at Hale’s Chapel Monday afternoon,March 19th, at two 
o’clock, Rev. R. H. Bowling officiating. The remains were laid to rest in 
Calvary Cemetery. There were a number of very pretty floral designs sent by 
relatives and friends of the deceased. Mr. Scott is survived by three brothers, 
Mr. George Scott, Mr. Alonzo Scott, of Norfolk, Mr. Reginald Scott of New York; 
four sisters, Mrs. Lenora Fisher, of Philadelphia PA; Mrs. Annie Jones of New 
York City; Mrs. Eva Scott, and Mrs. Emma Rowe, of Norfolk
