Virginian Pilot March 8, 1962

Vernie F. Scripter, 58, husband of Mrs. Catherine Scripter and son of Fred and 
Mrs. Jennie Harris Scripter, died Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. in his home at 7020 
Gail Drive.
He was a native of Hudson Falls, N.Y. and a resident of Norfolk 17 years.
He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. 
Besides his widow survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty Anne Hubbard of 
Norfolk and a grandchild.
The body will be taken from H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Pius X. 
Catholic Church for a funeral service Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in 
St. Mary's Cemetery. The Rosary will be said at the funeral apartments Friday at 
7:30 p.m.

7th, 1962, at 5:45 p.m., VERNE F. SCRIPTER, husband of Mrs. Cath­erine Scripter 
and son of the late Fred. and Mrs. Jennie Harris Scripter, in the 60th year of 
his age. 
Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Pius X 
Catholic Church for services SATURDAY MORN­ING at 10:30 o'clock. Friends of the 
family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.
