VIRGINIA BEACH — Frances Lawler Scullion, 70, of 520 Edwin Drive, a native of 
Norfolk, died Wednesday in a hospital.

Mrs. Scullion is survived by her husband, Ret. Rear Adm. Joseph R. Scullion, USCG; 
a daughter, Martha S. Prosser of Woodbridge, Va.; two sons, Joseph R. Scullion Jr. 
of Chincoteague and John B. Scullion of Norfolk; two brothers, Edward F.
Lawler and Joseph J. Lawler, both of Norfolk; and three grandchildren.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church by the Rev. Vincent Connery. Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery.

A Christian wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today in H.D. Oli­ver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk.
