The funeral of Patrick Scullion took place yesterday morning at 10 o’clock at the 
Sacred Heart Catholic church, and was conducted by Rev. T. E. Waters. Miss Rosa 
Smith sang "Lead, Kindly Light." The funeral was largely attended and there were 
many beautiful floral offerings. Among the flowers was a standing wreath from the 
Virginia-Carolina Supply Company and its employees; a cluster of lilies from the 
Elks and a cluster of lilies from the Knights of Columbus. Interment was in St.
Mary’s cemetery, the pallbearers be­ing F. W. Blake. D. L. Kelly, M. J. Murphy, 
Thomas Synon, J. Willcox Jenkins, Laurence Kelly, J. C. Gor­don, J. A. Baecher and 
T. J. Hanlon.
