Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 6, 1932

Miss Sallie Searls, aged 92, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at a 
local hospital yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. She was the daughter of the 
late William and Sarah Ransome Searls. The body will be taken from H.D. Oliver's 
Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street, to Christ Episcopal Church, of 
which she was a member, for funeral services Friday at 12 o'clock noon. Rites will 
be conducted by the Rev. H. Dobson Peacock. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
