New York - George Sears of 2298 Washington St., a native of Norfolk, died 
Saturday June 21 at his residence. 

He was the husband of Mrs. Bilbert G. Sears.

Survivors also include two sons, Vernon R. Sears of New York, and Gilbert Sears 
of Atwell, NC; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Favron, Mrs. Estelle Horton, and Mrs. 
Dorothy Peoples of Norfolk; and two brothers, Mathews Sears of New York and 
Charles Sears of Norfolk.

A funeral service was held Saturday, June 28 in the chapel of Graves Funeral 
Home, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
