Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 15, 1947

Miss Ellen Maria Henry Seawell, 80, daughter of the late M. Boswell and Mrs. 
Mary Louise Atkinson Seawell, a native of Gloucester County and a resident of 
this section for the past 40 years, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 5 
a.m. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving are a niece, 
Mrs. Anna McCarrick Taliaferro, of Norfolk; a grand niece, Mrs. Mary Louise 
Wilson, of New London, Conn. and a grand nephew, Lt. Phil. B. Taliaferro, USN. 
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church for services tomorrow at 10 a.m.   Burial will be in 
St. Mary's Cemetery.

Miss Ellen Maria Henry Seawell - Funeral services for Miss Seawell, daughter of 
the late M. Boswell and Mrs. Mary Louise Atkinson Seawell, who died Sunday, were 
held yesterday at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with the Rev. 
John J. Bannon officiat虹ng. The Rev. Edward W. Johnston, the Rev. P. P. 
Brennan, and the Rev. Francis Klemmer were present in the sanctuary. Burial was 
in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Griffith Hall, Dr. N. G. Wilson, J. C. 
Whichard, Albert M. Edwards, John T. Seawell and W. M. Seawell.
