He was 30 years of age and unmarried. He was a member of the Marine Engineers’ Beneficial Association, and of the Norfolk Eagles. The funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock this afternoon at H.D. Oliver’s funeral apartments on Freemason Street. The Rev. J.B. Merritt of the Norfolk Seaman’s Bethel, will officiate. …….. Norfolk Landmark Wed., Dec. 6, pg. 3 Funeral of Linwood Seay The funeral of Linwood Seay took place yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the Oliver Funeral Apartments, Freemason Street. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. J.B. Merritt, of Seaman’s Bethel. Members of the Marine Engineers’ Association and Norfolk Aerie Eagles were in attendance. The pall-bearers were George W. Hepple, William Holzman, Captain E.M. McHorney and J.F. Sheehan, representing the Eagles and T.J. Hampton, T.G. Williams, H.Fl Gardner and D.W. Cox, representing the Marine Engineers’ Association.
