Herbert W. Seay, 71, of 1439 Ashland Circle, retired skipper for Wathen & Co., Baltimore, died Wednesday. A native of Petersburg, he lived in Norfolk most of his life. He was the husband of Mrs. Mildred Middleton Seay and a son of William A. and Mrs. Mary Spiers Seay. Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Woodrow T. Keating; a granddaughter, Miss Mary Sandra Keating; four grandsons, Richard G. Keating Sr., Woodrow T. Keating Jr. and William R. Keating all of Norfolk; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Friday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. C. Fred Williams of First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
