The Virginian-Pilot, Tuesday, December 29, 1970

NORFOLK - David N. Selby, 51, of 108 W. Indian River Road, died Saturday in Norfolk
General Hospital.

A native of Swan Quarter, N.C., Selby was a son of the late Anson and Mrs. Ruby B.
Selby and the husband of Mrs. Pearl Selby.

He worked at Norfolk Naval Air Station 22 years.

Besides his widow, surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Barbara Holmes, Miss Patricia
Selby, Miss Doris Selby, and Miss Willie Selby of Norfolk; two brothers, Edison
Selby of Swan Quarter and Eddie Selby of Jamaica, Long Island, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs.
Elsie Cooper, of Jamaica, Long Island, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Antioch Baptist Church by the
Rev. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home
in charge.
