Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - October 24, 2012
 Norfolk - Mildred A. Selden of the 800 Block on "A" Ave., passed away on 
Saturday, October 20, 2012. A native of Bladen County, NC. She retired from 
" The Famous Shoe Repair Shop" Granby Street, Norfolk. Preceded in death by 
her parents, her husband, William L. Selden Jr., her son, Christopher B. 
Selden and her great granddaughter, Carolyn "Cee Cee" Walker. Survivors 
include 3 sons, William L. Selden III, Robert A. Selden Sr.(Edna), Thomas C. 
Selden ; 2 daughters, Carolyn S. Walker, Joyce D. Daniel(Daniel) 12 
grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. A viewing will be 
Wednesday October 24, 2012 from 2 PM - 8 PM at Riddick Funeral Service, 1225 
Norview Ave. The funeral service will be held at 11AM Thursday, October 25, 
2012 at The Historic First Baptist Church, 418 E. Bute Street., Norfolk,Va. 
Dr. Robert G. Murray, pastor,officiating. Interment will follow the service 
in Calvary Cemtery. Words of Comfort can be expressed at
