NORFOLK — Andrew Semuta, 66, of 2443 Jasper Court, retired from the Nor­folk Naval 
Air Station Police Force, died Friday in his home.

He was a native of Hazleton, Pa., and the husband of the late Mrs. Verna Kochera 
Semuta. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Police As­sociation 
of Virginia.

Survivors include two daughters, Miss Marcelline A. Semuta and Mrs. Marilyn S. 
Melchor of Norfolk; six sisters, Mrs. Helen Semuta Palmer of Baltimore, Mrs. 
Margar­et LaBuda of Bethlehem, Pa., and Misses Julia Semuta and Olga Semuta, and 
Mrs. Emily S. Kakaley of Hazleton, and Mrs. Pauline Sczerweil of New Jersey; and 
two brothers, George Semuta of Harrisburg, Pa., and Nick Semuta of Hazleton; and a 
granddaughter.

A private graveside funeral will be held by the Rev. Fr. Maurice Haiss. Smith & 
Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, has charge. The family will be at his home. 
Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Infant Home.
