He was a native of Syracuse, N.Y., and the husband of Mrs. Mary Murphy Sessler. He worked for Piedmont,Aviation 16 years and retired. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joseph J. Fantone Jr. of Norfolk; two sons, Richard J. Sessler, of Virginia Beach and Luke J. Sessler Jr., of Nor­ folk; two sisters, Sister Mary Alvera of Lothem, N.Y., and Mrs. Catherine Hiney of Norfolk; two brothers, Paul Sessler and Donald Sessler of Syracuse; and 14 grandchildren. The body was taken to Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
