The Virginian-Pilot, Tuesday, December 19, 1961
NORFOLK - Mrs. Missouri Sessoms of 1013 Rugby St. died in her home Saturday 
after long illness.

A native of Blackstone, she was a daughter of Rodger and Mrs. Roberta Fitzgerald 
and widow of Geroge Sessoms.

Surviving are two sons, Rodger Sessoms and George Sessoms of Norfolk; two 
daughters, Mrs. Patty Gregory of Norfolk and Mrs. Missouri Shepherd of New York; 
two sisters, Miss Georgia Fitzgerald and Miss Mattie Fitzgerald of Richmond; and 
two brothers, Clarence Henry Fitzgerald and Edward Fitzgerald of Norfolk.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted in 
Bank Street Baptist Church, of which she was a member, Wednesday at 1:30 by the 
Rev. J.B. Henderson, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
