Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, March 5, 1993 
William Sessoms Jr., 85, of the 2500 block of Middle Ave., died March 3, 1993,
in a local hospital.

Mr. Sessoms, a native of Chowan County, N.C., was a Baptist. He was retired from
General Truck & Sales and from Saunders & Son and was also a former merchant
seaman. He was a son of the late Tulie Hinton Sessoms and William Sessoms Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Matilda S. Sessoms; four sisters, Dorothy Holley of
Edenton, Mary Sessoms of Brooklyn, N.Y., Bessie Bland of Philadelphia and Ethel
Twine of Portsmouth; and one brother, John Sessoms of Edenton.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Hale Funeral Home by the Rev.
Leroy Wills. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will assemble at
the residence.
