Cynthia Pattison Sever of the 9500 block of Hammett Parkway, a former substitute 
teacher, died July 24, 1991, in her home.
Mrs. Sever taught language in Norfolk public schools. She was a graduate of 
University of California at Los Angeles and the University of Southern 
California. She was born in Duluth, Minn., and was a member of Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph C. Sever Sr.; a daughter, Cynjo S. 
Valachovic of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Joseph Sever Jr. of Norfolk; and four 
grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church by the Rev. Lou Ruoff. A private burial will be at a later date. 
Friends may join the family in the church after the service. Hollomon-Brown 
Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the church.
