ARLINGTON - Mrs. Elmira Shackelford of 706 Arlington Mill Drive died Friday in
Georgetown Hospital after short illness.

A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of Walter and Annie Wilson and the wife of
Chester Shackelford.

She was a member of St. Paul's CME Church, Norfolk.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Miss Regina Shackelford of
Philadelphia; four brothers, Willie Wilson, Walter Wilson Jr., and James Wilson of
Norfolk and Ollie Wilson of New York; and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Fields and Mrs.
Dorothy Miller of Norfolk and Mrs. Annie Whitehurst of Philadelphia.

Graves Funeral Home is in charge.

Additional Comments:
NORFOLK - A funeral service for Mrs. Elmira Shackelford will be held Thursday at 1
p.m. in Graves Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will
be at 2741 Beachmont Ave.
