Mrs. Eliza Jane (Royals) Shadley born November 11, 1920 in Windsor, NC. At the
age of 29 she moved to Norfolk, Virginia where she met and married Theodore
Robert Shadley (deceased). From this union six children were born; Linda Jane
Baker (Norfolk), Carolyn Ann Armstrong (deceased), Theodore Robert Shadley, Jr.
(Okinawa), Clinton Joseph Shadley (Wash, DC), Diann Lee Williams (Newport News),
and Betty Jean Everette (Richmond). These six would produce 19 grandchildren; of
these 45 more offspring were born.

Eliza was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church (Norfolk). Following the
death of her spouse she went to work as a domestic to help support her family.
When her health began to fail she resided at Harbor Point Nursing Home for 13
years until God called her home on February 3, 2013.

A funeral service will be held 12 noon Friday, February 8, 2013 at Shiloh
Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from
6-7pm. Graves Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
